Maxim Institute was born out of a desire to help build a better future for all New Zealanders. We saw the need for an effective and independent voice to promote sound public policy and to foster ideas and leadership that enable freedom, justice and compassion to flourish in New Zealand.

As a registered charitable trust funded through donations Maxim Institute relies on generous support from individuals, families and community trusts who share our vision and believe in what we are doing. We do not receive financial support from any government agency, religious organisation or political party.
